Mexico Carrier to Offer VoIP Services to Customers in Latin America, U.S.
IUSACom Networks announced it will deliver VoIP based telephone services to its subscribers and provide turnkey voice services to residential and enterprise customers in Latin America and the United States.
IUSACom Networks will use the Vistula V-Cube VoIP platform which will enable it to offer a range of telephony services from simple IP telephone calls right through to video conferencing. Vistula built V-Cube on Session Initiation Protocol (SIP), a signaling protocol for Internet conferencing, telephony, presence, events notification and instant messaging, so that customers are confident of its long-term flexibility and dependability.
The Hispanic market is the fastest growing in the U.S. and their purchasing power is rising and projected to reach $1 trillion within the next four years. Currently, telecom traffic from the U.S. to Mexico is the highest in the world and IUSACom is well positioned to tap this market with their Vistula-enabled VoIP service. The new VoIP service will be marketed directly to customers in Mexico, as well as to Mexicans living in the U.S. when launched in the spring of 2006. IUSACom’s presence in both Mexico and the U.S. is a key competitive advantage as it could offer flexible long-distance plans that are not profitable to traditional providers in the U.S.
Following the launch of the consumer VoIP offering, IUSACom will also market a full Internet Protocol Private Branch eXchange, or IP-PBX product suite, that offers a wide range of communication services including VoIP, IP Centrex, Voice, Video, Conferencing, Call Center, IVR, Multi/Sub-Domain and Messaging, to Enterprise and SMB customers in Mexico and the United States.
